Accommodations

As an adaptive photographer, A. Oliveira Photos aims to specialize in photography of adults and children with differing needs. We are pleased to offer a multitude of accommodations. When booking, you can just ask for a disability accommodation form so that we can ensure safety and comfort from the moment you book with us, until well after your photos are delivered to you. The form is not mandatory, and you decide what information you want to share with me, however, the more information provided, the smoother I can ensure our session will go. The accommodations are included in your package, we just ask that the session is paid in full at the time of booking and before any accommodations take place. It is my ultimate goal to make my clients feel welcome and safe, and to capture authenticity and confidence, which is not something that can be rushed. Patience and understanding are the top accommodations that I will always provide to all of my clients. These are just a few other accommodations we can offer (for a more detailed list, please request the disability accommodation form):

~ 1-2 Meet & Greets prior to our photo session, as needed. This is great for anyone who might get anxious around unfamiliar people or in unfamiliar places. You can choose to meet at the photo shoot location, at your home, a familiar place, or a neutral place. Meet & Greets also help me get to know the clients needs ahead of time and more personally than just reading them from the form. I can take a few photos if that helps, let the client touch my camera, get to know the client, and let the client build trust in me.

~ Social Story about getting your photo taken, if needed. Currently I have a Lego themed social story that I created to help clients understand what to expect at a session with me. The social story is free for clients, but it can also be purchased on my Etsy page for non clients. Please see the Photography Resources page for more info on purchasing a social story.

~ Reschedule Fee waived every time if medically necessary with documentation. Reschedule Fee waived up to one time for any other reason.

~ Reduced Lighting/ No flash photography if necessary.

~ Accessible and Safe location chosen for session based on condition.

~ Session times will vary based on agreed upon package, and cooperation of client. If necessary, session can be rescheduled or broken up into separate smaller sessions.
